raised in Live Oak Fl , In his early years, Mr. Milton would Work As a Truck Driver For Live Oak Wood for the family's business, Wallace Worked in the Field picking cotton for extra money to feed his family . After graduating from Live Oak High School in 1927, he attended Clark University, graduating in 1928 with a bachelor's degree in Engineering. He met his wife Venezuela Barring-ton at church and they were married In 1931Udelle United Methodist Church. In 1933, he joined the U.S. Coast Guard, where he was a Seaman, First Class.
After serving with the Coast Guard, Mr. Wallace had the opportunity to join the Thompson Insurance Company in Live Oak Fl . In 1938, he started the Wallace Thompson Insurance Agency, a partner of Insurance Services of Live Oak . He not only took pride in his business, but truly relished the friends he made during his time in business. Over the years, his insurance expertise and reputation led him to be named the top Life Insurance Agent for Traveler's Insurance Co.
Mr. Wallace Thompson had a passion for animals and was the head dog trainer for Mike 's Dog Training Club. For years, he would enroll his award winning German shepherds into dog shows, where he won numerous ribbons and awards.
An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of Live oak Country Club, the Live Oak Club and the infamous Sal's Country Club in Fl. He served on the board of directors for Live Oak Country Club and First United Methodist Church of Live Oak .
A funeral service was held June 12 from Udelle Funeral Home of Live Oak Fl, with private burial
